Out next comes Santino Marella and Arianna Grace to talk about the TNA Director of Authority match for tonight against Robert Stone. Stone ends up coming out with Victoria Crawford and Tessa Blanchard. It is revealed that Matt Cardona will be the special referee for the Santino-Stone match later tonight.

Santino Marella and Robert “Sheriff” Stone do battle next for the right to call themselves the TNA Director of Authority going forward. Backstage before the match, Stone tried to bribe special guest referee Matt Cardona. Cardona didn’t turn down the free money. Arianna Grace, Tessa Blanchard, and Victoria Crawford were ringside for this one. Despite the bribe, Cardona called a clean match. He stopped his count when Stone had feet on the ropes for leverage on a roll-up. Cardona also blocked Stone from using the sheriff badge as a weapon. Referee is a difficult job though. Cardona was often distracted, and that allowed physical interference from Blanchard and Crawford. When Santino had momentum to strike with the Cobra, Tessa snatched the Cobra and ran away. On the finish, Arianna helped her father by shoving Stone on the turnbuckles. Santino hit his moves, but he was lost without the Cobra. Arianna passed him a backup Cobra. Santino struck Stone with the Cobra to win. With the victory, Santino remains the TNA Director of Authority.

TNA Knockouts World Championship Match: Masha Slamovich (c) vs. Cora Jade

Arianna Grace is on commentary here, and will make things happen. The introduction is interrupted by Cora attacking Masha. Unfortunately for Cora, Masha fights right back and kicks her down. Cora backs away from a Masha dive that doesn’t happen. Cora pauses outside and Masha chases her around. Cora gives Masha a shot to the throat and throws her shoulder first into the ringpost for two. Double stomp to the back gets two for Cora. Cora with a running elbow to Masha’s back, a nearfall and then a rear chinlock. Masha fights out, but gets superkicked down for two. Vertical suplex by Cora. Cora yanks Masha down by her hair for two. Knee in the corner by Cora, Masha blocks another attempt, gets some strikes and kicks Cora down. Both are slow to get up, Cora runs into a boot and is sent to the corner. Some kicks by Masha, then a rolling heel kick gets two. Back up, Cora blocks a move with a kick to the shoulder. Cora keeps targeting it in the corner with kicks, then on the ropes. Onto the apron, Cora hits a Destroyer! I wouldn’t want to be anybody involved there. Cora back into the ring, hits the Jaded DDT on Masha for two! Foot on the ropes! Masha with a jackknife pin for two, Cora with more kicks to the shoulder. Masha fights back and it’s time to exchange some strikes! Cora runs into a spinning heel kick, and Masha hits the Requiem piledriver for three!

Winner: Masha Slamovich

As the official liaison between TNA and NXT, Arianna Grace arrives on the Countdown to Genesis. She reveals that many of her friends will be here tonight. Kicking off the partnership between TNA and WWE is Ashante Adonis. He issues an open challenge to any TNA star, and it’s answered by Jake Something!

Santino Marella was sitting in his office when Arianna Grace of NXT walked in. He greeted her with a big hug and said how proud he was of her. She told him to keep it professional (he’s her dad). Santino was happy about her being the liaison between TNA and NXT.
